Hi Everybody! I’m Spenser Bullock and i’m a communications specialist around the content marketing team for AvePoint. Today, I took it over my 5 personal favorite tips and supply more examples for when they’re most relevant. Let’s get directly into it!

1: Filter Activity via @mentions

Your Activity Feed keeps you up-to-date on the most recent conversations and updates. Filtering by @mentions lets you separate your individual To-Dos in the FYIs and concentrate on the key conversations.

As somebody who collaborates with people in our marketing team all over the world, I recieve @pointed out a great deal. I personally use the game Filter @mention feature constantly to make certain I’m remaining current with whatever anybody must ping me on!

2. Bookmark Specific Content

A bookmark lets you save a note or attachment for later reading and  helps you find frequently used information.  No additional time wasted searching around when you really need to come to light important messages!

Standing on the marketing team means there is a constant stream of projects happening at the same time, and monitoring everything can be very cumbersome. Fortunately, Teams supplying the bookmark feature helps me save probably the most prevalent messages and content and so i always understand what tasks have to be handled!

3. @mention Someone within the Search Bar

Attempting to send quick messages to a person but shouldn’t get off track on the task at hands? With the @mention feature in Microsoft Teams you are able to remain on task and still send quick messages without departing your present window or project.

Collaboration and communication are core values within our organization. Ensuring I’m able to make contact with the best people rapidly while still concentrating on the duties at hands is essential. This selection lets me just do that although still sticking with the job before me.

4. Quick Video Sync or Call

Ever desired to steer clear of the constant backwards and forwards over email and rapidly talk through projects having a coworker? Well, you can now with Microsoft Teams! Now you can have a quick video chat or call to simply sync and obtain the information faster. Often, it’s quicker to talk directly with someone.

All you have to do is open up the talk to the individual you would like to video or call, then click around the video or call icons within the top right-hands corner.

For me, this is among the best features in Microsoft Teams. Messaging someone over text isn’t always the best way, particularly if something must be described. Using the video call or sync option, I’m able to talk to my colleagues immediately and save energy.

5. Wealthy Text Editing

Never accidentally press “Send” again while developing a message. Microsoft Teams enables you to add a title, mark the message as important, and add other rich text options for example summary sentences, highlighting etc.

That one is very large for me personally. Each month I personally use the wealthy text editing feature to provide recently-released webinars and e-books to all of those other marketing team. Highlighting the most crucial information which my colleagues have to know makes communication a lot more efficient.

And that’s it! They are my 5 best favorite tips and methods you need to use in Microsoft Teams to become collaboration superstar.
